0124vctd 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2009 Thanks Squirrel. I just got through watching your videos on youtube and those were a huge help on breaking in my new engine. The book told me to just putt around for like 45 min. I checked the engine temp while doing that and I decided to use your method and get the engine temp up and do it how you described in the videos. I think I am ready to let it roll now. My new vehicle is the XTM X-Cellerator.

0124vctd 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2009 THanks guys. I will get some pics up as soon as possible. I do have one question. After the break in of keeping it at 200 which is harder than it looks. Do I need to be overly concerned with temps after that and if so what temps should I be seeing or do I just tune it using the smoke method. T Thanks Brandon

If it is a problem area then reinforced with alum is fine. But, at this point, stick with plastic.
